The NJROTC Physical Fitness Ribbon
The NJROTC Physical Fitness Ribbon is awarded to Upper School cadets who attain satisfactory or better in each of the Cadet Challenge Events (curl-ups, push-ups and one-mile run/walk). The additional recognition of gold, silver, or bronze lamp is determined by their overall point score.
Cadets can obtain a maximum of 12 points, and how many they receive determines their awards. Cadets who receive the gold lamp have obtained 11/12 points out of the maximum allotted points. Cadets who receive the silver lamp have obtained 9/10 points out of the maximum allotted points. Cadets who receive the bronze lamp have obtained between 6-8 points out of the maximum allotted points. Cadets who receive the ribbon have obtained between 3-5 points out of the maximum allotted points.
