The Farragut Family Association (FFA) 2020 online fundraiser that ran from Oct 1-16 was a success. 72 individuals participated and the funds raised netted $23,500.
8th grader and 7-day boarding student Cruz Helmstetter exhibited Farragut’s core values of integrity, self-discipline, and perseverance when he went above and beyond to provide for Farragut’s school-wide food drive benefiting the St. Petersburg Free Clinic (a multi-service, independent, not-for-profit human services agency providing community neighbors assistance with food, shelter and health care since 1970).
Ella Sokolowski, a senior day student from Seminole, FL, was awarded the Florida Holocaust Museum’s 2020 Anne Frank Humanitarian Award because of her hundreds of hours of community service work.
Allison Kowalczyk ’14 has been studying law at Syracuse University College of Law. She was the first recipient of the Maj. Megan McClung ’91N Memorial Fund while attending Farragut and hopes to give back.

President and CEO Alan Levine ’85S has been with Ballad Health for over two years but has over 25 years of hospital operations experience. Ballad Health represents 21 hospitals and over 3,000 physicians and providers in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
In 2015, Melissa Diaz Salas ’20 moved from Peru and started her five-year Upper School journey at Farragut. Although she had to learn a new culture and did not know much English, Diaz thrived and became the first female in her Peruvian family to attend college.
