LeaderSail is an exciting and demanding leadership development program built around sail training and marine exploration. Developed by retired Naval Officers, this adventure of a lifetime has been structured to provide hands-on leadership and seamanship training. Based in the British Virgin Islands, this program offers unparalleled sailing, snorkeling, and island exploration opportunities set in a tropical paradise.
Sail the waters of Blackbeard the Pirate. Walk the beaches immortalized in Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island. Snorkel the fabled treasure caves. All this while learning to sail, and developing your leadership skills aboard 50 foot world class offshore sailing yachts. Watch a video of the adventure!
- Learn to Sail – Train while living aboard 50-foot yachts and cruising the British Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands, and Dutch Antilles.
- International Yacht Training Certifications – LeaderSail is a registered school under the IYT accreditation program. All certifications including International Crew, International Watchkeeper/Flotilla Skipper, and International Certificate of Competency are available to those who qualify and complete the training requirements.

- In the summer of 2017, LeaderSail is offering 2 different voyage options.
- BVI 8 Day Voyage: July 5, 2017 – July 12, 2017 – $2,450
- LI 14 Day Voyage: July 14, 2017- July 27, 2017 – $3,795
- Experience – Students must be actively enrolled in High School, and have a desire to participate and learn. No prior sailing experience is needed. Graduating seniors are allowed to participate, if they are graduating the semester before the LeaderSail voyage.
