Farragut BlueJackets win at FHSAA 1A Track and Field 2021 State Championship
The boys and girls teams exceeded expectations by finishing higher than what they were seeded going into States and competed in the Florida High School Athletic Association State Championship on May 7th at the University of North Florida. Congratulations to the Girls Track Team, 1A STATE CHAMPIONS. Tytiana Wilson ’21 also won a State Championship in the 400-Meter Dash. Ronald White ’21, State Runner-Up in the 110-meter hurdles, and Maurice Leon ’21, 3rd place in the Discus.
Girls Track and Field
Heading into the final event of the State Championship, the girls team was placed third overall in total points scored. The 4×400 Relay consisted of Kelis Sims, Tytiana Wilson, Denia Averette, and Tekoyia Cheedy who finished 2nd, giving the Admiral Farragut Academy Girls Track Team enough points to win the 1A State Championship!

Boys Track and Field
Ronald White led the way for the Boys team, becoming the State Runner-up in the 110 M Hurdles, and Maurice Leon placed third in the Discus.
The Boys Track team also had a great showing at the FHSAA 1A Track and Field States with these final results:

The girls also broke many new school records this season:
- Tytiana Wilson broke the school record this season in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 56.45.
- Julia Mularoni broke several school records, the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:25.97, the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 5:41.32, and the 3200 Meter Run with 12:17.07.
- There was also a new record for the 3200 Meter Relay by Kelis Sims, Julia Mularoni, Elise Graham, and Tekoyia Cheedy with a time of 10:06.63.
