On Wednesday, February 6th, Admiral Farragut Academy’s athletics department held a ceremony in the West Lounge of Farragut Hall for National Signing Day. 11 student-athletes from 5 different sports signed to continue their athletic career at the college level.
On June 15th, the Tampa Bay Times published an article which selected their Womens’ Track and Field Athletes of the year. Class of 2017 valedictorian Katie Barnett placed as Pinellas County’s Athlete of the Year and Coach Arron Prather won Coach of the Year out of the entire Tampa Bay area.
The Admiral Farragut Academy BlueJacket Varsity Track and Field team is finishing up another amazing year. Five school records were broken at regionals and nine student-athletes qualified to go to the State Championships. At the State Championships, the girls’ team earned three more records, taking 2nd place overall with just five girls competing.
Alex Gray ’16 was selected as BHSN Athlete of the Week because of his accomplishments at the FHSAA State track meet. Read more

Here is a recap of last Thursday’s Class 1A Region meet from Calvary Christian in which the boys team captured first and the girls team finished in second. The top four in their respective events move on to the state tournament, which will be held Friday and Saturday at IMG Academy in Bradenton. Read more
Here is a recap of the track team’s performance at the district meet last week at Out-of-Door Academy in Sarasota. Three new school records were beaten! The girls team finished 2nd overall and the boys finished 3rd overall. Team finish and athletes who finished in the top four to advance to regional meet on Thursday, April 28 at Calvary Christian School in Clearwater. Read more
The BlueJackets boys and girls track and field teams both had impressive performances Thursday at the Class 1A-District 7 meet, which was held at Out of Door Academy in Sarasota. The boys teams finished in third and the girls team captured second.
