Upper School Homecoming 2016 Recap
Homecoming 2016 was a whirlwind of activities for our Farragut cadets! These pictures speak a thousand words about events that our students will never forget.
Homecoming 2016 Dance
The Homecoming dance followed Spirit Week for our students. Held at The Club at Treasure Island on Saturday, October 22, 2016, the students danced till they dropped to music provided by DJ Officer Mike.
Alumni Tours
Homecoming weekend brought a plethora of Alumni to our campus, giving students the opportunity to share the Farragut of Today and their experience. They achieved this through both giving our Alumni tours of the school and by eating lunch with them. We received many compliments on how well-behaved and impressive our cadets are!
Drill Team Performance
Following tradition, our drill teams performed on the East Grinder for our Alumni.
Homecoming 2016 Parade
This year’s Homecoming Parade was one of our best yet. The regiment was under command by CDR Richard Dunleavy ‘17, and the Regimental Adjutant in center field was LTJG Dean Wayment-Steele ‘17. The Admiral’s Own Band, led by Band Drum Major Clayton Scott ‘18, played “Sound Off”. After they advanced and posted the colors, the Commandant was joined on the field by the North and South alumni celebrating 50+ years. The cadets marched past the Alumni, facing and saluting them as they passed.

Homecoming 2016 Football Game
The regular season came to a close when Northside Christian came on Senior Night. With the District Championship on the line the BlueJackets jumped out to an early lead behind outstanding performances by several members of the team. In the second quarter Junior Zion Roland intercepted a Mustang pass setting up a score as quarterback Miller hit Chris Anderson for a 27-yard touchdown pass to make it 14-0. Regulation ended with the teams knotted at 27 sending the game into overtime. The Mustangs prevailed in overtime for a heartbreaking loss for the BlueJackets.
