11 student-athletes sign for college on National Signing Day 2019

On Wednesday, February 6th, Admiral Farragut Academy’s athletics department held a ceremony in the West Lounge of Farragut Hall for National Signing Day. 11 student-athletes from 5 different sports signed to continue their athletic career at the college level.

Farragut hosts football State semi-finals

Congratulations to the Football team becoming the 2A Region 3 Champions. Their next game is Friday, November 30th against Champagnat Catholic at 7:30 pm. As per the FHSAA, it is $9 for everyone. We hope to see you there!

Farragut hosts football regional semi-finals

On Friday, November 16th at 7:30 pm, Admiral Farragut Academy is hosting the regional semifinals for football. Our BlueJackets will be facing off against the winner of the Evangelical/Cambridge game. As per the FHSAA, admission is $8 for everyone. Kick Thanksgiving break off by supporting your AFA Bluejackets!

Football and Basketball athlete, Jeremiah Zio ‘17, has all the right moves on the court and gridiron

Jeremiah Zio came to Admiral Farragut to play basketball. After his freshman year at Ridgewood High, where he played on the varsity and averaged four points in 25 games, he transferred to AFA. At 6-foot-8, 225 pounds, he was hard to miss as he walked the halls in his uniform. Read more

Corey Luckenbill, a senior and center on the BlueJacket football team, is a true example of Admiral Farragut Academy’s core value, PERSEVERANCE. Corey, although legally blind, is an asset to the school and team, and has not let his condition control what he can do on and off the field. He was recently featured in the Tampa Bay Times’ Sport section. Read more
