14 Farragut legacy families are celebrated during the Class of 2021 Graduation
Every year, Admiral Farragut Academy is proud to invite legacy families to present the high school diploma to their graduates. Legacy families are families with multiple generational connections to Admiral Farragut Academy including former graduates and current employees. For the Class of 2021, 14 legacy families joined their graduate on stage.
Meet the Admiral Farragut Academy Legacy Families
Sabrina Burke ’21 will be attending Rollins College this fall. On stage, she is joined by her dad Troy Burke ’86S, an owner of Subway chain restaurants and a property developer in Grand Cayman, and her two brothers: Cory Burke ’16, who is working on his masters in business at the University of Tampa, and Dylan Burke ’18, who is working on his bachelors in business administration at Eckerd College.
Sylvia Deitche ‘21 will be attending St. Petersburg College in the fall. On stage, she is with her mom, longtime Upper School Science Teacher Sari Deitche, who has been teaching at Farragut since 2002.
Ansley Fine ’21 will be attending Boston College. On stage, she is joined with her brother, Ensign Zachary Fine ’17, who just graduated from Duke University and will be a Surface Warfare Officer.
Caroline Fiorillo ‘21 will be attending Virginia prep school Institute in the fall. On stage, she is joined with her brother David Fiorillo ‘19 who also attends VMI and is majoring in Physics.
Hailey Gordon ’21 will be attending Elon University in the fall. On stage, she is joined with her sister, Hunter Gordon ’19, who attends Colorado State University.
Daniel Krueger ’21 will be attending the University of Miami in the fall. On stage, he is joined with his brother Benjamin Krueger ’19, who is attending Florida State University.
Mitchell Lewis ’21 will be attending the University of Central Florida in the fall. On stage, he is joined with his brother Maxton Lewis ‘18.
Casey McKee ‘21 will be attending the University of Texas this fall. On stage, she is joined with her mom, Lower School Art Teacher Shauna McKee.
Madison Moore ‘21 will be attending the University of Florida this fall. On stage, she is joined with her dad, Upper School Calculus Teacher Josh Moore, who has been teaching at Farragut since 2016.
Avicenne Nasr ‘21 will be attending Virginia Tech this fall. On stage, he is joined with his brother Zaharia Nasr ‘19 who is attending the University of Colorado Boulder.
Angelo Passarelli ‘21 will be attending St. Petersburg College this fall. On stage, he is joined with his brother Antonio Passarelli ’16.
Scanlin Peyok ‘21 will attend the University of North Dakota this fall. On stage, he is joined with his mother, Dr. Faith Cogswell Riley ‘97, DVM. Dr. Riley owns Farm & Field Veterinary Service that offers veterinary services to large farm animals such as horses, cattle, sheep, and goats.
Cristian Rogers-Romero ‘21 will be attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a full ROTC scholarship. On stage, he is joined with his brother, Derrick Rogers ‘20. Derrick is attending the University of Tampa and majoring in Political Science, and this summer he has a paid internship with the Department of State.
Ella Sokolowski ‘21 was the Class of 2021 Salutatorian and received a volleyball scholarship to the University of Rochester. On stage, she is joined with her dad, Matt Sokolowski ‘92, who is the President of Great Bay Distributors, a third-generation family-owned business.
