Ryan Green ‘18 and Linda Delgado Libien ‘18
On Friday, March 2, 2018, Linda Delgado Libien ‘18 and Ryan Green ‘18 were two of 15 students from eight St. Petersburg area public and private high schools that were selected for the 79th Annual Rotary Club Outstanding Youth Awards, an honor that distinguishes high school seniors who go above and beyond their duty to the community. Each students essay was on the topic of “doing good by doing the right thing”. Read more
On Friday, February 16th, the entire school participated in what is becoming one of our students’ favorite days of the year: Salt Marsh Planting! Lower and Upper School students, faculty, and staff came out to help plant springs in the school’s on-campus salt marsh nursery. It may be messy but they love using their hands to help our earth and support our local habitats.
On February 16th, our color guard, drill team, football and softball team were invited to Nina Harris Center for Exceptional Children to share in a special activities day with their students for the 7th year in a row.
On January 21, 2018, Admiral Farragut Academy 2nd grade teacher and avid swimmer, Maren Lynch, swam 3.1 miles across the Tampa Bay for the Tampa Bay Frogman swim “Never Leave a Man Behind” charity event benefiting the Navy Seal Foundation. Read more
In early November, the Lower School held a food drive for CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse). The response was overwhelming, to say the least!
On October 28, 2017, Farragut sophomore Ashton Raymer, along with his father, Lt. Derek Raymer, participated in the second annual Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation 5k in Clearwater, Florida. Read more
Timothy Kucherenko ‘19 shows off his universal blood type
Nothing shows the beating heart of the Farragut Family so well as when we give back to our community and to those in need. On Friday, October 13th, our students got a chance to do just that when the OneBlood Blood Bus rolled onto campus.
Each year, The Angels Against Abuse, a local charity that sponsors the Mad Hatters’ Tea Party, reaches out to Admiral Farragut Academy in hopes that our cadets who would like to volunteer for their special event. Read more
