Parents’ Group hosts Faculty/Staff Appreciation Luncheon
On Tuesday, May 2nd, Admiral Farragut Academy’s Parents’ Group hosted the annual Appreciation Luncheon for our faculty and staff in the West Lounge.
This year’s luncheon was sponsored by parents Michael & Samantha Lewis and Tifnie Klingel, who had the event catered by Cody’s Roadhouse. In honor of May (Dose-de-mayo), The Parents’ Group added the international flair by serving a chicken fajita bar with all the accompaniments as well as pulled pork, yellow-rice and beans, and a salad. Flavored tea, lemonade, & spa water rounded out the luncheon.
Delectable desserts were also a feature! An entire table was filled with various cheesecake, incredible chocolate cake, homemade iced lemon cupcakes, and other assorted cookies by the dozens! The Farragut faculty and staff who could not attend received a “to go” box, delivered to them for their enjoyment. Also, each person received a long stem red “scarlet” or white “royalty” rose to thank them for their dedication and hard work.
Aside from the delicious lunch, all faculty and staff were eligible for a raffle drawing to win 1 of 3 Visa gift cards valued at $100, $75 or $50! The winners were as follows:
