Over 500 books purchased during Scholastic Book Fair 2021

During the week of April 12-16, 2021, the Scholastic Book Fair was held in the lobby of DeSeta Hall. This year’s theme was ‘Time Machine – Reading Can Take You Anywhere.’

At this year’s book fair, the Library doubled its goal and sold approximately 500 books! That is the equivalent of over 100,000 minutes of independent reading, making this year one of the best book fairs to date.

Congratulations to third-grader Charles Acker, the winner of our estimation jar! The estimation jar was our very own time machine filled with parts and pieces that will whisk you away while reading a good book. Students were allowed to enter the contest each time they visited the fair. Charles guessed the closest without going over, and he won the jar filled with timepieces of candy.
