First Sergeant Worthy to spoke about “Perseverance”. First Sergeant works as an assistant to the Commandant in the Upper School and has been with AFA for 4 years. He has been a JROTC instructor for 14 years. He is also a certified personal trainer and nutrition specialist.
7th Grade- Preamble song – Carolyn Rowe
7th grade started Civics this quarter and will be talking about and singing a song about the Preamble to the Constitution

Reader Recognition for March – Susan Morris
Congratulations to the readers who have read and tested on three books in March. We will celebrate on Tuesday, April 9th after recess. The readers are Leila, Dana, Bailey, Sereen, Julia, and Dylan.
Annual Earth Day Cleanup at Clam Bayou on Saturday, April 13 from 9:00-11:00 am. This cleanup is in partnership with the Parents’ Group and is a school-wide event. Please wear closed-toed shoes that can get wet/muddy, Farragut PT gear, bring sunscreen, a water bottle, and gloves if you have them. We will meet at the USF-Marine Science satellite location at Clam Bayou. You MUST sign up with Mrs. Deitche or Mr. Sadler and have a parent to attend.
Our May 3rd assembly will be in DeSeta Hall. This assembly will recognize students for accomplishments they have made in and out of school. Parents need to email the teacher or Mrs. Fine with their child’s accomplishments.
