On Thursday, April 25, 2019, an additional seven student-athletes for three sports signed to continue their athletic career at the college level. These young men and women collectively earned up to $800,000 in scholarship money! Read more

Farragut community comes together for Annual Earth Day Cleanup

Admiral Farragut Academy Community Service

Thank you to those that helped at our Annual Earth Day Cleanup at Clam Bayou and for science teacher Sari Deitche for organizing! In our three years of sponsoring the event, we had our biggest turnout yet.  Over 60 student and parent volunteers picked up trash, filling a 300-gallon can full of plastic, styrofoam, wood, glass and cigarette butts, among other debris. We also cleaned out dead and dying wood and palm tree fronds. And we planted over 200 mangrove seedlings. All this was completed in less than 2 hours!

Two Upper School cadets earn award from St. Petersburg Rotary Club

Two members of the Class of 2019, Hunter Gordon and Elijah Soyke, were recently recognized by the Rotary Club of St. Petersburg. They were two of fourteen students recipients of the 81st Annual Outstanding Youth Awards. They were selected on the basis of scholarship, character, and service.

“Reach for the Stars” was record-breaking fundraiser and gala for Admiral Farragut Academy

Admiral Farragut Academy’s “Reach for the Stars” Fundraising Auction and Gala this past Saturday, April 6th was an amazing evening! This year’s auction format was an entirely new concept and with hard work, ingenuity, and the over-achieving attitude that is associated with Admiral Farragut Academy, we went forth to Reach For the Stars and put on a record-breaking gala in our brand new event space, DeSeta Hall. This was a collaborative effort between the Parents’ Group Executive Board, Farragut staff, volunteers, and hired-vendors. We cannot thank you enough for everyone involved in the planning and execution of this fundraising event, and for those who attended and participated in the auction to support the school. Read more

Lower School students graduate from Tae Kwon Do program

On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, the 1st-3rd graders had their graduation ceremony from the Champion Tae Kwon Do’s BESTT Program. They had been participating in the program once a week for 8 weeks.
