Troy Burke ‘86S supports frontline organizations in Grand Cayman
Burke is the managing director and owner of a chain of Subway restaurants in the Cayman Islands, which have been deemed an essential business. To help during the COVID-19 crisis, Burke and his Subway team are supplying the staff at the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority and a local school with boxed lunches.
The island has been under a strict shelter-in place mandate since March 29 with a nightly curfew to prevent community spread.
Troy said, “The Subway lunches provided a small token of appreciation for the health services workers who are working tirelessly to combat the virus and keep everyone safe. Our health services and all frontline workers deserve our gratitude for their selfless contributions.”
The Subway team also worked with Heritage Holdings, a corporate partner, to provide meals to feed all the children enrolled at Sir John A. Cumber Primary School over the next three weeks.
