Spencer Fletcher ’09 and Howie Font ’12 visit Farragut during their summer break
Admiral Farragut Academy alumni Howie Font ’09, Mrs. Joy Edwards and Spencer Fletcher ’09.
Spencer and Howie both keep in close touch with Drill Team Coach and Instructor, Mr. Steve Edwards and his wife, Mrs. Joy. It was great to have them both be able to visit, and to spend quality time with them.
Spencer graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy, was commissioned in the United States Navy, completed Navy flight school, and received his wings. He is headed for survival training and will then begin training to fly Navy P-8’s.
Howie will be a senior this year at Florida State University. He is majoring in international affairs and economics. Howie will again be working with Joy and I this summer at AFA for summer school as he did last year.
Both Spencer and Howie were members of the Battalion Staff while at Farragut. Spencer was Battalion Commander and Howie was Operations Officer.
They are both outstanding young men and a credit to our beloved school.
