Each session will cover the same content and should last an hour, plus additional time for Q&A.

In Mr. Mullarkey’s Upper School Digital Photography class, students were given the assignment to send a photo and a description based on their living situation during the quarantine over Spring Break. Below are several of the photos that were submitted along with the students’ descriptions.

Please join the Aviation Department in congratulating Vladimir Poliak ‘20 on earning his solo pilot endorsement. Vlad flew solo for the first time on February 26, 2020, in a Cessna 172 aircraft, tail number N99265, at Albert Whitted Airport.
During Alumni Homecoming 2019, Farragut alumnus Daryl Greenberg ‘66S spent some time in Science Department Chair Sari Deitche’s biology classroom. Daryl was fascinated by the enthusiasm the students shared for biology and how much they were learning about genetics. Mrs. Deitche expressed the need for a MiniOne Gel Electrophoresis System to enhance the learning experience in the classroom and Daryl offered to fund it.
Over two days, January 31 and February 1, Upper School Mandarin Chinese teacher Mrs. Rue took ten students from Chinese I, Chinese II, and Chinese IV to participate in the Florida Chinese Teachers Association (FCTA) 15th Annual Florida Statewide Chinese Competition (FSCC) at the Lake Yale Conference Center.
Admiral Farragut Academy Upper School students, Jaeden Geffon ‘22 and Brandon Ortiz ‘21, traveled to Washington, D.C. to attend the L’Taken Social Justice Seminar, a four-day Jewish public policy conference hosted by the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (RAC). Nearly 2,000 high school students participate and this is Jaeden’s second year participating in the program and Brandon’s first year. While there, they visited Capitol Hill to advocate, as a unified voice, on issues of importance to our society today.
