J. Fred Miller IV ’81S is serving a three-year assignment at US Embassy Papua New Guinea in the South Pacific. Fred joined the Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer in 2002 under Secretary of State Colin Powell. The class notes of Dept of State promotes American trade, health, law enforcement, prep school, security and most importantly the main function is to support American Citizens overseas. During Fred’s career as a Foreign Service Officer, he served in Almaty, Moscow, Bangkok, Mexico City, Canberra, and Port Moresby.
Zack Scoggins ’07 has made history for Farragut and our country. Zack has committed to become a part of the US Space Force, the sixth branch of the Armed Forces. He has been serving in the Air Force overseas and has been executing space surveillance and integration. The Space Force has been charged with protecting our nation’s interest in space, deterring aggression, and conducting space operations.
Ramin Beheshti ’09 earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
Marco Pineda ’10 was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade O-2 in the Navy.
Rachel Goldstein ’16 was commissioned into the US Navy.
Jack Lescarbeau ’16 was commissioned into the US Army as a 2nd Lieutenant.
