Video message to alumni from Headmaster Bob Fine regarding coronavirus challenges
Greetings Farragut Alumni,
As with many schools around the country, this was the time of year Admiral Farragut Academy was preparing to enjoy spring break, plan for many year-end activities including sports, field trips, student celebrations, the annual auction, and graduation.
Instead, our campus is closed.
The health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, friends, and families are threatened by the global pandemic.
We are not sure how long this will last but we do know during these uncertain times Admiral Farragut Academy is committed to continuing to meet the needs of our students, faculty, staff, families, and alumni.
We will do everything we can to make sure students are provided a quality online learning environment.
While it may be a virtual environment it is still a Farragut environment.
Teachers will connect each day to students and be there to support them in their education and provide a sense of comfort and familiarity they very much need during this time.
On the Business side of this crisis, the administration and our Board’s Finance Committee has begun making the business decisions to ensure Farragut’s future. We have begun work with our banking and insurance partners, along with daily tracking of our local, state and national governments and their respective assistance legislation being passed.
Integrity and perseverance are two of the core values of Admiral Farragut Academy and it is during times such as these that all of us are challenged to rise to the cause.
We will overcome the challenges to face the future together – and come through this crisis better, stronger, and safer.
As always, thank you for your support.
We are Farragut!
