2019 Golf Tournament recap
We had a great day of golf this October during the 2019 Admiral Farragut Academy Golf Tournament at the historic St. Petersburg Country Club. The Farragut Family Association hosted the event with over 80 golfers and volunteers in attendance.
The beautiful afternoon kicked off with a delicious lunch followed by a one o’clock shotgun on the par 72 course. The competition was fierce, but Jon Covington’s team sponsored by EnClean captured top honors shooting a 59 in the afternoon scramble.
Tournament activities included a putting contest, longest drive, closest to the pin, and a 50/50 raffle, creating a fun atmosphere while supporting the fundraising initiative for the school. We had top-notch sponsorships, prizes, and giveaways this year from local businesses, family and friends, and had an amazing group of volunteers that helped make the day possible. We also auctioned off two fantastic golf vacations with the assistance of auctioneer Blake Kennedy. With the generous support of our Farragut community, we raised almost $8,000 and made this year’s tournament a swinging success!
