Dress Blues inspire confidence and leadership among regiment

“I don’t think you can say it any better than that,” said Senior Naval Science Instructor, CDR Rick Schock. “We have a unique opportunity to combine academic excellence and character education here in part because of the NJROTC program, and we end up producing fine young men and women prepared for success in our global community in dress blues.”

Farragut cadets represented the colors at the Rays vs Red Sox baseball game

Last Friday night on September 15, 2017, the Admiral Farragut Academy Color Guard marched the American Flag for the Rays game against the Red Sox. Five cadets marched onto the field with junior Hunter Gordon as their Commander. About 15,000 fans watched as the national anthem was played. Afterward, everyone watched the action-packed game between their home team and the Red Sox. Read more

For three days from June 14th to June 16th, Farragut was host to the Association of Prep school & Colleges and Schools of the United States (AMCSUS) Commandant Conference, an annual gathering of commandants from around the country. 16 commandants and their spouses attended, including our own Commandant Todd Wallingford and his wife, Kim York Wallingford.

Drill Team places 2nd overall in district for first time in decade

This past weekend, Admiral Farragut Academy’s Drill Team competed in the Pinellas County Drill Meet at Boca Ciega High School and placed 2nd place overall for the first time in a decade of Farragut history.

Cadets presented the colors for Navy SEAL Foundation 5K run

On January 15th, eight cadets presented the colors during the Tampa Bay Frogman Swim, a 5K open water swim and fundraiser to benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation. The foundation provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and its families. Read more
