We are pleased to report that in spite of the ongoing pandemic, our loyal alumni, faculty, staff, parents, grandparents, and friends continued to support the Admiral Farragut Academy Foundation with their generous gifts. From January 1 – December 31, 2020, the Foundation received $284,000 in donations from 104 donors.
This generosity helped support Farragut through the pandemic. The Foundation was also able to provide $67,000 for operating help and program-related projects to the Academy. The Foundation also disbursed $110,000 from endowment funds earmarked for scholarships and student financial aid. The tuition assistance was particularly instrumental in providing help to parents of currently enrolled students who were facing financial difficulties as a result of the pandemic.
A more detailed Foundation Annual Report for the year 2020 will be included in the fall 2021 issue of Reveille Magazine.
On behalf of the Foundation Board of Trustees, I want to thank each of you who contribute to the Foundation. Your gifts truly make a difference in the lives of our students and allow Farragut to continue to offer an outstanding learning experience.
