Foundation Endowed Funds

Farragut Foundation's endowed funds are established to support a donor’s intentions in perpetuity to strengthen and enhance Admiral Farragut Academy's legacy. The funds are invested, and a percentage of the earnings are distributed annually to support scholarships, financial aid, academics, arts, athletics, faculty, and facilities.

Your donations to any of these endowed funds will continue to build a stronger future for the next generation.
The minimum to establish an endowed fund is $25.000. *The Foundation is a separate 501c3 endowment.

General endowed fund to support financial aid and greatest needs.

Scholarship Funds

Provides funds to a cadet interested in the NJROTC program.

Funds an annual award to an outstanding and deserving boarding student interested in the arts.

Provides a financial aid award to an engineering-minded student.

Provides a scholarship to honor the highest-ranking Junior cadet each year.

Provides a scholarship to a student who has qualified for financial aid, is academically motivated, is active in school life, and has aspirations of selective college admissions.

Provides a scholarship to an outstanding athlete.

Provides a scholarship to an outstanding music student.

Provides a scholarship for student with strong interest in Marine Science.

Provides a scholarship to a deserving boarding student to ensure that such students are provided the same opportunities as Mr. Michel received at Farragut. The student will express a deep aptitude for mathematics and technology.

Provides financial aid for female cadets. It was established to honor MAJ Megan McClung ’91N, USMC for her heroic service and dedication to our country.

Provides financial aid for students. It was established by Al to pay tribute and memorialize his classmates.

Provides funds to a deserving student for financial aid.

Provides a scholarship to recognize the sportsmanship, scholarly accomplishment, and overall spirit of a varsity-level senior cadet. It was established by classmates of Mark, who exemplified the Farragut spirit and loved AFA sports.

Provides a scholarship for a student who is academically minded, an athlete, and a role model to his/her peers. This fund was created by Class of 1963 classmates to honor their class and their fallen Battalion Commander, Vic Saitta.

Provides funds to award a scholarship to an outstanding Upper School student.

Provides funds to support students who need academic support through the Learning Center.

Provides a student residing in Florida with a two-year financial aid award for their junior and senior years at Farragut.

Provides financial aid to a cadet with an interest in band. Established in memory of Kurt by classmate Chris Chiari '92N.

Academic, Arts, and Athletic Funds

Provides funds to make flight training more affordable for cadets and enhance our Aviation Program.

Provides funds to expand the offerings at the waterfront while maintaining a safe and equipped fleet of vessels for cadets. It is named in honor of two long time Naval Science officers.

Provides funds for the primary needs of Admiral Farragut Academy and the tuition needs of cadets. It was established in memory of William R. Masciangelo, Sr. ‘37N.

 

Provides funds to purchase athletic equipment and supplies. It was established in honor of two outstanding coaches, Stanley Slaby (N) and Michael Nicholson (S).

Provides funds to offset lacrosse and athletic expenses.

Provides funds to support the exhibition drill team and color guard programs.

Students may begin boarding at Grade 8. This is also when the military leadership component of our program begins. Prior to Grade 8, Farragut does not offer a military structure, allowing younger students to focus on foundational academics and personal growth before transitioning into the leadership-focused upper grades.

Building and Programs Funds

Provides maintenance funds for Deseta Hall.

 

Provides funds for preserving historic Farragut Hall, originally built in 1925, and for future development of campus architecture.

 

Provides funds to enhance the boarding experience like family-style dining, company-specific off-campus gatherings, and other team-building and leadership development exercises. It was established to memorialize the Pine Beach Campus.

Provides funds for upkeep and maintenance of campus buildings. It is named in honor of the Farragut Foundation founder, trustee, and volunteer.

Faculty Funds

This fund enhances the overall quality of teaching by contributing to the faculty professional development budget.

This chair provides funds for a faculty grant to a faculty member to develop a program of study in any area of physical science at any grade level.

Provides funds to the Headmaster Discretionary Fund to supplement professional development, capital needs, or other expenditures that fall outside the budget.

Awarded annually to a faculty member to develop and grow the music program.
