Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part time School Nurse (RN required) to join our AFA team. The School Nurse will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students and staff, promoting health education, and ensuring a safe and healthy school environment.
This position is weekdays from 7am until 4pm. Morning hours are required as we need to properly care for boarding students before the school day begins.
Responsibilities
• Provide direct healthcare services to students
• Assess and treat injuries and illnesses within the school setting
• Administer medications and maintain accurate medical records
• Develop and implement individual healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
• Educate students and staff on health-related topics
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to promote student well-being
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support as needed
Requirements
• Valid nursing license
• Experience in emergency medicine or outpatient care preferred

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, payroll processing, credit card management, and vendor relations. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting software, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Responsibilities
• Manage accounts payable, including invoice entry, approvals, and timely vendor payments.
• Process bi-monthly payroll accurately and confidentially.
• Reconcile school credit card transactions and maintain supporting documentation.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal departments.
• Assist with monthly account reconciliations and other projects as needed.
Requirements
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with accounts payable and payroll processing required.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software. Knowledge of Blackbaud a plus
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.

Overview
Admiral Farragut Academy seeks an engaging and energetic full-time Residential Life TAC (Teach, Advise, Counsel) Mentor to live on-campus and oversee our 8th-12th grade boarding students. The associates in this position are responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive environment to enable the academic and personal success and well-being of our boarding students, while integrating the physical, military, moral, and ethical requirements of our programs. This is a 10-month position, with June and July off. Meals and on-campus housing are included. A minimum of 2 years experience working with students ages 13-18 in a residential setting such as a boarding school, summer camp, or academic program, or a college
campus required; Bachelor's Degree preferred; Military experience highly desirable. Nights and weekend duties will be required.
Requirements
• Ability to pass a Department of Justice fingerprint clearance & drug screen
• Valid FL driver's license (or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire date), and a clean driving record
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Valid CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to become certified within 30 days of hire date)
• Ability to move around student dorms, including stairs, and to engage in physical activities with students
