Anchors Away Summer Camp

2026 Registration is Now Open!

Admiral Farragut Academy is pleased to offer your child a fun and educational summer camp

Join us at Admiral Farragut Academy's "Anchors Away Summer Camp" for an enriching and exciting summer experience! With six sessions packed full of fun and interactive activities, we'll enhance your child's education. At the same time, they enjoy daily sports, STEM projects, science experiments, and outdoor adventures on our stunning waterfront campus.

Get ready to set sail for the best summer ever! Please note that our weekly water-based camp includes daily swimming, boat rides, water slides, and more, all supervised by certified lifeguards.

  • Session 1: June 1-June 5

  • Session 2: June 8-June 12

  • Session 3: June 15-June 19

  • Session 4: June 22-June 26

  • Session 5: June 29-July 3

  • Session 6: July 6-July 10

Campers registering for Junior Counselors, Counselors-in-Training, or Counselors must attend mandatory training in the Student Center on Friday, May 29th, 2026 at 10:00 am.

Camp Attendee Ages and Cost

• Join us this summer at Admiral Farragut Academy for our Anchors Away Summer Camp - a day camp for incoming grades K-6 at a cost of $325 per week.

• Incoming 7th and 8th graders can sign up as Junior Counselors at a cost of $250 per week.

• Incoming 9th - 12th graders can sign up as Counselors in Training at no cost.

After Care is available from 3:00 - 5:30 pm for campers in grades K-6. 

This camp will be held on the beautiful campus of Admiral Farragut Academy, located at 501 Park Street N on the waterfront of the Boca Ciega Bay.  Please register early, as camps will fill up fast!

Jr. Counselor (7th-8th)

A “Jr. Counselor” is a rising 7th-8th grader who is willing to take on limited responsibilities with the campers and will be expected to follow the camp's code of conduct.

Cost: $250 per week/per Jr. Counselor. Includes a camp staff t-shirt.

Jr. Counselors must:
• Attend a Mandatory Training Session.
• Submit one teacher recommendation emailed to jgrabowski@farragut.org, and registration is required upon approval.

Returning JCs do NOT need to provide teacher recommendations; they only need to complete the registration and attend the mandatory training session.

Counselor (+18)

A “Counselor” is a rising 12th grader, a college-level student, or an education teacher who is 18 or older. The Counselor is responsible for the Campers, Jr. Counselors, and Counselors-In-Training.

Cost: Eligible for a paid position or community service hours. Includes a daily lunch and staff camp t-shirts.

Application Process: All applicants must apply, submit teacher recommendations, be interviewed, and be approved by the camp directors to become a Counselor. Applicants must be fingerprinted.

Returning Counselors: Do not need to submit teacher recommendations, however, all other paperwork will need to be completed again.

Farragut Returning Counselors: Only need to complete the Anchors Away Code of Conduct. All other paperwork is completed because they are an enrolled student.

Approved Counselors must attend a Mandatory Training Session.

Camper (K-6th)

A “Camper” is a child who is a rising Kindergarten-6th grader.

Cost: $325 per week/per child. Includes a camp t-shirt.

Counselor-In-Training (9th-12th)

A “Counselor-In-Training” (CIT) is a rising 9th-12th grader who will be expected to take on major responsibilities with the campers and follow the Code of Conduct. There is no cost, except if they want to purchase lunch, which is $50/week.

Depending on their leadership skills, responsibility, and overall work ethic, CITs have the potential to be a paid Camp Counselor once they turn 18.
Accepted CITs will earn community service hours.

Application Process: All students seeking to become a CIT must apply and be approved by the camp director CITs will be notified of acceptance once all paperwork and teacher recommendation have been received. If the camp director determines that the CIT would not be the best fit after reviewing the registration, the student will be notified.

Counselors-In-Training must:
• Submit one teacher recommendation emailed to jgrabowski@farragut.org.
• Attend a Mandatory Training Session.

Returning CITs:
Do not need to submit teacher recommendations; they only need to complete the registration and attend the mandatory meeting.
