Congratulations to Maurice Leon ’21 for placing 1st in the Largo Public Library’s 36th Annual Stanley Shalit Short Story Competition. Maurice was one of over 200 students in Pinellas County to enter this year’s competition, whose theme was Oceans: Fun, Fear, Future.

On Friday, December 13, the Upper School arts department held their Winter Arts Showcase in DeSeta Hall. The program included music and drama from the band, the drumline, and groups and individual students. Afterward, guests took the time to visit the Art and Photography display provided by the Fine Arts Department.
Please join the English department in congratulating international student Diana Romanovskaya for winning the Gold Regional Scholastic Writing Award for her works titled, “The Reality of a Writer’s Mind”, “Death as Salvation”, and “The Ink”. Some other authors who have received Gold Scholastic Writing Awards are Stephen King, Truman Capote, Joyce Carol Oates, and Sylvia Plath.
On Thursday, April 18th, the Lower School put on their Spring Performance. Each class from PreK-5th grade performed, and several students performed solo as well.
