On March 24, 2021, and for the third year in a row, Farragut parent and Outback Bowl Board Member Christopher Giblin presented a $5,000 check to the Farragut Fund to be used in support of teachers and students. Giblin is the father of Farragut seventh-grader Chris Giblin.
After a long year of lockdowns, quarantines, online learning, and fewer activities, our children are ready for more and need something to look forward to. It has been shown that children are likely to have worries, fears, anxieties, and other signs of stress since schools are operating in different ways. Many children have had fewer opportunities to be with their peers which is vital for maintaining good mental well-being. Sending your child to summer camp offers that opportunity to be with friends and get that social support.
Admiral Farragut Academy recently came into possession of a 33-foot Navy personnel carrier. Dockmaster and sailing instructor Chief Master-at-Arms (EXW) Dan Kühl, USNR (Ret) plans to refit the vessel with the help of interested students, and later it will serve a multitude of purposes for Naval Science, Scuba, Marine Science, and even Lower School students.
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) are foundational to any formal education. The skills learned in a STEM classroom can be applied to every part of life, be it academic or otherwise.
At Admiral Farragut Academy, where engineering is a signature program, students from Kindergarten through 12th grade have the opportunity to learn valuable skills and find passions in areas that they may not have known existed — and that may not exist for years.

Dear Farragut Community,
Recently, Capt Fine informed the Farragut Board of Directors that he had been advised to take a much-needed leave of absence due to some health concerns. Because of the unprecedented times we are experiencing, the Board did not want the Headmaster position to remain vacant during Capt Fine’s absence. The Board has retained an Interim Head of School, COL Donna Brazil to serve until Capt Fine returns in mid-November.
