Last year’s Cross Country Team had a great season proving that the efforts of a few can yield great results. The team consisted of talented athletes who took 1st place in the District Championship, 3rd in the Region and 5th in State.

Cross country team places fifth in districts, advances to region tournament

One of the peculiarities of competing in the sport of cross country is the variance in the course layout and topography. Such was the case when the FHSAA Class A, District 7 meet was held October 20 at GT Bray Park in Bradenton, Florida, a course that featured mostly grass and sand from start to finish.

BlueJackets win Cross Country meet

Admiral Farragut won a Cross Country meet the BlueJackets hosted on October 3 at Walter Fuller Park in St. Petersburg, beating neighborhood rivals Canterbury, Keswick Christian, and Northside Christian.

Boys cross country team keeps improving

The boys cross country team finished a respectable 19th out of 24 teams at the Mitchell (Mike Holl) Invitational last Saturday morning in New Port Richey, Fla., defeating neighborhood rival Shorecrest Prep along with large public school teams like Fivay, Tarpon Springs, Tampa Bay Tech, and Gaither. Cross Country athlete earns 7th in state, continues to regionals

Hunter McCann '16 - Cross Country - Admiral Farragut Academy

On Saturday, November 7th Hunter McCann ’16 competed in the Cross Country State Finals in Tallahassee, Florida. Out of 190 runners he earned 7th place in the boys 5k (16:45). Hunter will continue to the Regional Meet for the Southeast Region in North Carolina over Thanksgiving Break. Congratulations Hunter and best of luck at your next race! #GoBlueJackets
