On Thursday, April 25, 2019, an additional seven student-athletes for three sports signed to continue their athletic career at the college level. These young men and women collectively earned up to $800,000 in scholarship money! Read more

Katie Barnett, student-athlete and Class of 2017 valedictorian, signs with Princeton University

On Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 9:00 AM, the Student Center at Admiral Farragut Academy overflowed with supportive classmates, faculty, and staff as Farragut senior and track and field athlete, Katie Barnett, signed with Princeton University. Katie will become a member of their women’s track and field team, whom are 18-time Ivy League Heptagonal Champions.

On the morning of April 27th in the Student Center, three student-athletes signed their National Letter of Intent to play sports in college. All girls played many different sports while attending Admiral Farragut Academy including soccer, tennis, basketball, and volleyball.

Maiya Fudge ‘16 signs National Letter of Intent for softball

 

Maiya Fudge '16 Signing

On Thursday, April 14 at 9am in the Student Center, senior student-athlete Maiya Fudge signed her National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and softball career at Bethune Cookman University. Joining us for the event was Maiya’s family, classmates, and teachers, as well as members of the Bethune Cookman Alumni Association. Maiya signed to play Division 1 at BCU with an athletic scholarship. She will soon be retaking her ACT in order to gain the one point needed for a full Presidential Scholarship to the University. Maiya has been on the Admiral Farragut Academy Softball team since Freshman year.

Five football players sign letters of intent to play in college

With approximately 70 family members and friends in attendance at the Roy M. Speer Student Center, five Admiral Farragut Academy football players signed their letters of intent to play in college, including Dalton Collins, Cole Fagan, Jestin Green, Thomas Silver and Aaron Rodriguez. BlueJackets coach Ryan Hearn presided over the ceremony in which he expressed his enthusiasm for the five student-athletes who will get an opportunity to compete in college.

Charlisa Jenkins ‘15 signs to play college basketball

On Thursday, with her grandmother, two sisters, brother, and aunt in attendance, Jenkins validated her ascent by signing a letter-of-intent for a NCAA Division I scholarship to play next season at Gardner-Webb University, located in Boiling Springs, N.C.

Over the past few years, the Admiral Farragut Academy girls basketball team has steadily progressed from a doormat to a dominant force in the Tampa Bay region all while setting new standards along the way.
