Lower School Drama Club performs Alice in Wonderland, Jr.
On Wednesday, March 1, the Lower School Drama Club put on a performance of Alice in Wonderland, Jr., a stage adaption of the 1951 film Alice in Wonderland that was created for school and community theater productions.
6th grader Madison Hollingsworth played the titular role of Alice, the girl who falls down a rabbit hole into a dreamworld. She was joined by two other Alices: Small Alice, played by 4th grader Valentina Romano, and Tall Alice, played by 7th grader Brooke Sokolowski.
Some of the other cast members included 6th grader Calli McKee, who played the Queen of Hearts; 7th grader Kalynn Miner, who played the White Rabbit; 6th grader Jillian Aprile and 4th grader Joey Culbertson, who played the Mad Hatter and the March Hare; and 4th grader Brennen Cornish, 5th grader Sophie Deitche, and 4th grader Luci Passarelli, who together played the Cheshire Cat.
The show was directed by social studies teacher Ms. Carolyn Rowe, and language arts teacher Valeri Fowler. Dockmaster Dennis Collins provided the lighting and sound design. The production was helped backstage by parent and substitute teacher Jennifer Sokolowski, 8th grader Casey McKee, 8th grader Ella Sokolowski, and Alyssa Rano ‘20.
