Freshman, Caleb Lemmons and senior, Chris Sexton qualified for the FHSAA State Wrestling Championship and represented Farragut with pride.

As a freshman and a second year wrestler, Caleb went 0-2 at his first visit to the state championship. He will build on his experience for next year with a win at states in his sights.

New to Farragut this year, Chris Sexton made giant leaps qualify for the State Championship and but make it to the “Blood Round”, the round where a win gives you a place at state, and a loss is the end of your season. Chris lost to Jeffrey Phillips 1-0 who he beat at districts a few weeks ago and fell short of his goal this match. “This sport teaches you so many lessons and I couldn’t be any more proud of Chris and Caleb! No other sport or activity, teaches you self discipline like wrestling. Congrats on great years boys,” Assistant Coach May.
