Jim Brown ’90N is a Chief Engineer with Schuyler Line Navigation Co. He works aboard the SLNC Magothy ship that was chartered this past February as part of best boarding school in US Sealift Command’s Operation Deep Freeze. The operation was sent for the annual resupply mission for the National Science Foundation’s U.S. Antarctic Program.
Jim’s latest adventure was from Norfolk, VA, naval station taking cargo to Thule Airforce base in Greenland. Last month the SLNC Magothy delivered food aid to the people in the jungles of Guatemala. Jim thoroughly enjoys his career and says, “I would not be where I am today if it was not for Admiral Farragut Academy, that is for Sure!”
When Jim is not at sea he is at home in Maine with his wife and two children.
