After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Mrs. Douglass began her nursing career at Children’s Hospital in Washington, DC. For the last 13 years, she served as the school nurse at Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland. She was responsible for serving the needs of 830 students in grades K-12.
Caring for children has always been Mrs. Douglass’ passion. Working in the school environment has given her the opportunity to blend her knowledge of children’s health care with the excitement teachers have to educate children, and thus being a part of the coordinated service to each student.
Mrs. Douglass has a blended family of four sons, two daughters, and three grandchildren that she loves to spend as much time with as possible. She loves a good walk on the beach or sitting out on the patio in the evening with a good book.
A lifelong Washingtonian, Mrs. Douglass’ move to Florida is very exciting, and a new adventure for her and her husband, Scott. They look forward to discovering all that Florida has to offer. Mrs. Douglass promised her husband, an avid sportsman, that she would learn to fish now that they live in Florida!
