Sean Flynn was born and raised in Washington, DC. Prior to working at Admiral Farragut Academy, Sean Flynn served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps.  He served as an infantry officer and an intelligence officer, completing four combat deployments to Iraq. Duty stations during his military career included Japan, California, Florida, and the Washington, D.C. area.  He supported numerous military exercises with US allies including Colombia, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, and Poland.

While stationed at US Southern Command in Miami, he taught Colombian Marines Intelligence analysis tradecraft. He chose to teach at AFA since one of the most rewarding parts of being a Marine officer was mentoring junior Marines. 20 years of leading and mentoring US Marines has prepared him to teach AFA students.

Favorite Hobbies: Rugby, Soccer, traveling, SUP, and Coaching his son’s soccer team. Mr. Flynn has played tackle rugby since he was 15 (the past 29 years).
