Biography

Scott grew up in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and came to Saint Petersburg in 1994 to attend Eckerd College, graduating in 1998 in History and American Studies. Scott loves teaching history and believes that an understanding of history is important to comprehending current world affairs. His favorite subjects to teach are United States History and World History.

Scott has been heavily involved with sports his whole life, especially soccer, tennis, and hockey. Scott played soccer at Eckerd College, competing in the very competitive Sunshine State Conference.  Since graduating, he has enjoyed coaching and passing on the skills and lessons that he has learned.  Scott currently coaches the Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer team for Admiral Farragut. Outside of school Scott enjoys playing hockey in local recreation leagues and also coaches his son’s hockey team.
