Biography

I have lived most of my life here in St. Petersburg. I graduated from Dixie Hollins high school and received a football scholarship to Troy State University where I graduated with a degree in Physical Education. Upon graduation I returned to St. Pete where I served as a teacher as well as a football and basketball coach for eight years. I obtained my first collegiate coaching job at FAMU where I coached football. While coaching at FAMU I earned my masters degree in Administration and Supervision. Over the next 20 years I coached college football at West Alabama, University of South Florida (helped start the football program and served as the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator), NC State, University of Memphis, Western Michigan and Youngstown State University. During my time as a collegiate coach I was blessed enough to have coached twenty-one players that made it to the NFL as well as have had the opportunity to coach several top ten or twenty defenses.  After leaving collegiate coaching I returned home to St. Pete to coach high school football which led me to be an assistant coach at Admiral Farragut in 2016 and becoming the head coach the following year. With my collegiate background and knowledge of the game I have been able to successfully see 44 of my student-athletes attend college during my high school coaching career.

Employed since 2016
