Biography
Ramon has taught music for over 25 years. He studied music education at Arizona State University where his major was Voice, and he was a member of the Sundevil Marching Band. He currently holds two Bachelor’s degrees and a Master’s in Business Administration.
He has taught music in religious, private, and public school settings. At his previous school, he taught Jr. High choir and orchestra. He also taught band at the elementary school level for many years before moving to a Jr. High. He has been a church music director and was the Northern California Creative Arts & Music Director for several years in his denomination. He has also played piano and sang at his church in Arizona. He also owns a private music lesson studio, Joyful Noise School of Music.
Ramon tells people that his goal is not to make professional musicians but to help students fall in love with music and the arts.
He has taught thousands of students over the past 27 years. Some have gone on to play in their local community orchestras and bands. He’s very proud of each one of his students and is very passionate about seeing them succeed with their music goals.
Ramon has three adult children who are also amazing musicians. He is also a new grandpa!
His hobbies include playing the piano, cooking healthy, traveling, and karaoke.
Something you may not know about Ramon is that as a young man his goal was to go to the Olympics as a diver, swimmer, or on the water polo team.
