Biography

Mark is the son of an Air Force fighter pilot and spent his childhood in Asia, Europe, and all over the United States, including Hawaii. It was an important experience that exposed him to a variety of cultures. He lived in St. Petersburg for a short while in the 1960s until he came back to the area as an adult. Mark has taught for 25 years in both public and private education. His early work with children was as a junior development coach in tennis.  

Mark enjoys the outdoors and has hiked extensively in Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. Exploring the backcountry is one of his favorite hobbies. He has also spent a great deal of time in the Pacific Northwest. He graduated from Washington State University and lived in the Seattle area for many years before relocating to Florida.
