Biography

Laura Burgett has extensive nursing experience working with children and adolescents with an emphasis in school, residential, camp, and shelter environments. Since 1999, she has worked a total of 12 years in Admiral Farragut Academy’s infirmary full time but now enjoys working part-time and covered the last 2 years for Summer@Farragut. Her experience in private, as well as public school settings, has enhanced and broadened her experience in school health and her appreciation for what both environments have to offer.

For relaxation, Laura enjoys spending time outdoors in nature parks, spending time with family and friends, and loves to read a good book. Fun fact: Laura loves exploring picturesque small towns. Favorite one in 2019 was Fairhope, Alabama.

Re-employed in 2019, but Laura has been with Farragut on and off since 1999.
