Mrs. Levin is a native of New Orleans, LA.  She has over 25 years of experience teaching Math to students in the intermediate grades.  Teaching students to understand the “how” and “why” Math works and applying Math to the real world is her priority.  Mrs. Levin is a truly “hand-on” teacher who uses mathematical manipulatives and number lines in each day to help students gain a deep understanding of the relationship between numbers.  In addition, Mrs. Levin is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and the Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics (FCTM).  During her spare time, Mrs. Levin serves as a committee member for Boy Scout Troop 371 in Largo, FL and enjoys traveling.

Favorite Quote: “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.”~ Albert Einstein

Why do you love teaching?: I love to watch the “light bulb” go on when students understand a new concept.

Something that may surprise you about me: While an undergraduate at UNO, Mrs. Levin was the university mascot—Lafitte the Insti-Gator.
