Biography

Katie taught English and Writing courses in grades 5-12 in a private school for seven years and has been a school librarian. Katie was a children’s librarian in public libraries for five years prior to her teaching career. Katie loves promoting literacy and developing life-long readers and is excited about watching students grow as learners. She has taught all levels of learners in English, reading, and writing, and has developed students into college-ready writers. Katie loves to be outside kayaking, hiking, backpacking, and camping.  She loves playing sports like tennis, basketball, and softball, and enjoys playing board games. Being born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio she is a big fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and will forever have hope for the success of the Cleveland Browns.
