Brian Sheehan has been an educator since 1999. He has taught in public and private schools, both single gender and co-educational. Brian began his teaching career for the Los Angeles Unified School District where he developed curriculum and provided instruction in the academic areas of English, Mathematics, History and Special Education. Brian has taught internationally at ACS International Schools (London) and The American Overseas School of Rome teaching courses in English, Drama and IB Theatre. He also served as Drama Director and has directed several plays including a Shakespearean Festival in Rome. Prior to his international teaching positions, Brian was employed at Crespi Carmelite High School (Los Angeles) where he provided instruction for six years in the following areas: Grade 10 English, Grade 10 English (Honors), Film Studies, Drama, and Public Speaking. Brian also coached the Mock Trial Team and directed the fall drama productions (And Then There Were None and Bram Stoker’s Dracula). Recently, Brian worked in the NYC area teaching at Kent Place School and The Dalton School in Manhattan.

Brian has studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, Franciscan University of Steubenville, and California State University Long Beach. He graduated magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University in which he received a Masters in Secondary Education and a California Teaching Credential (Secondary English).

In addition to serving as an educator, Brian is also a professional actor, appearing on such television shows as “Law and Order”, “Judging Amy”, “All My Children”, “King of Queens”, and “House”. Additionally, Brian has worked professionally in the New York Theatre. He studied at HB Studios and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, Actors Equity Association, and American Federation of Television Radio Artists. Brian is thrilled to be joining the faculty at Admiral Farragut Academy and getting to explore the beautiful beaches of Florida.
