Biography

Before Brian and his husband Matt moved south in search of new subtropical adventures, Mr. Potter-Racine was a longtime member of the Concord Academy faculty and administration in Concord, Massachusetts.  During his 22 years at CA, he served as a member of both the boarding and day faculty, taught Physics, Accelerated Physics, Astronomy, Advanced Mathematical Physics, and Advanced Electricity and Magnetism, Chaired the Science Department, served as the AP Coordinator and oversaw the Academic Support Center as the Assistant Academic Dean. In addition to filling numerous, rotating co-curricular roles during his tenure, outside of the classroom Mr. Potter-Racine primarily served as an advisor to the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA).  Given his interest in oceanic physics, he is happy to be living and working in a coastal community that cares about preserving the marine environment, as well exploring the ocean and educating its people about the importance of ocean systems in global climate.

Off campus, Mr. Potter-Racine enjoys travel, viticulture and enology studies, olympic-style archery, and studying foreign languages.  He is very much enjoying getting to know Saint Petersburg and is frequently amazed by how unique this haven on the Gulf truly is.
