Biography
Mrs. Baird has educational experiences in multi-grade, cross-cultural, bilingual, home school, and regular classrooms from elementary to high school both in the United States and two South American countries. Holding a Masters of Education in Reading and speaking fluent Spanish has been advantageous to her practices. She has experience teaching Wilson Reading Systems, IMSE (Institute for Multi-Sensory Education), and Lindamood Bell. These programs are Orton-Gillingham based which develops tools and strategies in learners that have dyslexia or other learning needs. Mrs. Baird is also a published freelance author and enjoys dancing salsa in her free time.
Along with a vibrant passion for reading, Mrs. Baird’s desire is that every child develops skills to become lifelong learners. When you stop by the Student Center, be sure to tell her about your favorite book or what you are presently reading!
