“Becoming a diver, going through all the classifications, having the chance to be an instructor before I graduate high school – has helped me two-fold,” says Jack Lescarbeau ’16. “For one, it has definitely helped with my self-esteem, my confidence, my critical thinking skills. Making decisions underwater requires a lot of focus and poise. The saying goes, ‘If you can master it underwater, you can handle it on land.’ ”
