Students participating in one of our global campus programs have the opportunity to earn a United States high school diploma (graduation certificate) from Admiral Farragut Academy’s main campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA. International students would then have a greater chance of gaining entry to American post-secondary colleges and universities.
About Farragut’s Global Campus Program
Admiral Farragut Academy partners with schools in other countries to provide students with an opportunity to obtain a Farragut diploma without moving to the USA. Students take courses as required by the Florida campus to earn the credits required to graduate. All courses are taught in English using standard texts and resources. Successful graduates can use their Farragut diploma and transcript to apply to universities all over the world!
Our St. Petersburg campus also hosts groups from around the world who want to explore the Farragut Experience. For short stays during the school year or up to five weeks during the summer holiday, students are welcome to come for learning exchanges or our exciting Summer Signature Series program.

Established in 2013 as an international program located within Tianjin Yaohua, this school is AFA’s first and longest-running partner. In 2016, the program was moved to its current location in the former WWII US Army barracks.

Tianjin, China, Campus Receives COGNIA Accreditation
Our global campus in Tianjin, China, received one of the highest levels of international accreditation attainable from COGNIA with an Institution IEQ rating of 378.50 in three domains: Leadership Capacity, Learning Capacity, and Resource Capacity.
Class of 2021 graduates from AFA Tianjin received acceptances to Columbia University, University College London, Rutgers University, University of California – Berkeley, University of California – Santa Barbara, King’s College London, University of Toronto, University of Sydney, and the University of Florida, Georgia Institute of Technology.
Global Campus Expansion
Future plans for expanding the program include schools in Far East countries, the Middle East, South America, and even here in North America.

Academic summer/winter camp opportunities
Students and staff can stay on campus while they take courses at the school alongside Farragut students. Space for these programs is limited but for larger groups there are good quality hotels near the school and all activities can still take place on campus.
Teacher/staff exchanges
We welcome staff from our partner schools to visit the campus, see the classes, and meet with other faculty whenever convenient.
Farragut staff are also available (on a limited basis) to visit partner schools and talk to the students/staff about education in America.
Some teachers may even be available to guest teach short-term classes in their subject area.

Western style education training
We work with our partners on an ongoing basis to help introduce western teaching styles into the classroom. This is an ongoing process and doesn’t happen right away. Over time, our partners learn how to conduct more learner-centric classes which are more effective and more enjoyable for everyone.
The Admiral Farragut Academy graduation certificate
A recognized high school graduation certificate from an accredited American private school gives all graduates from our international programs an equal opportunity to apply to any university they choose in America, and even Canada. Acceptance is based on the individual student’s academic performance.
