The first-ever virtual homecoming was a huge success, with more than a hundred alumni from across the globe joining in on the Zoom event held Saturday, February 6, 2021.
It is with great pleasure that we introduce the Regimental Leadership Staff for the 2nd semester of the 2020-21 prep school year. The regimental commander and regimental staff have proven themselves through their commitment to naval science, leadership, academics, and their desire to improve the Farragut corps of cadets. Upper School Calculus classes with Ms. Amy Smith and Mr. Josh Moore joined together to have a “Related Rates Competition.” The Calculus AP and Honors curriculum is laid out in a different order, but both classes had an overlap in content. Read more
Over the weekend of January 30-31, 14 Admiral Farragut Academy Orienteering Team members traveled across the bay to Bradenton to compete in their first orienteering meet of the season at the Greenbrook Adventure Park in Bradenton. Our cadets were split equally between the novice yellow team and the intermediate orange team. The team enjoyed a double win with the orange team earning a 2nd place win and the yellow team earning a 3rd place win.
Students who understand the importance of learning a second language will find it very rewarding, especially at our boarding school with international students. Becoming bilingual has many benefits! It takes time and dedication, but in the end, it’s well worth it. In a globalized economy, knowing two languages has become very important. Read more
