Nikita Zinovyev is a freshman boarding student who is in his second year attending Farragut. He is originally from Moscow, Russia and is the son of Igor, an economist, and Maria, a lawyer. Nikita has two younger brothers — aged 10 and 7 — who live with their parents back in Moscow but Nikita believes they will both attend high school in America like him one day.
The Scuba Dive Club took a day trip to Manatee Springs State Park located in Chiefland, Florida. Manatee Springs is a first magnitude spring dumping 150 million gallons of aquifer water per day into the Suwannee River. The Farragut Triathlon Team — yes, Farragut has a triathlon team — opened its season on February 7 by competing in the Chilly Willy Duathlon at Fort DeSoto Park in St. Petersburg. This event is considered to be the largest duathlon in the state of Florida with some of the best duathletes in the southeastern region of the United States participating. Read more

Sports and activities have always been an important part of every child’s development. It is where I personally learned the lessons of how and when to follow and lead, work with others as a team, and maintain self control. I had coaches who were my mentors, disciplinarians and motivators. The life lessons I learned through sports were and still are invaluable. Read more
